About

Welcome to my second blog, Czech, Please!, where I will attempt to document my adventures living in the Czech Republic and teaching English. To make a long story short, I was your average 20-something suffering a “quarter-life crisis” (I don’t like my job, but I don’t know what I would rather be doing) so last year I decided to take the opportunity to move abroad while I was still young and single and had nothing tying me down. I spent the year in the southern coastal city of Huelva, Spain working in a high school as a “language and cultural assistant” and I loved it! This past summer I came back to the US, taught some more ESL up in New Hampshire, but decided I wanted another year abroad. After finding a last-minute opening at Wattsenglish in the Czech Republic I packed my bags (in about 5 days) and hopped on a flight to Prague to start teaching English again. I’ll be living in a small city, Karlovy Vary, about two hours from Prague (see the links here for more information about my town). This will undoubtedly be a very different experience than last year, but I am optimistic that it will be a positive and I can’t wait to share my experiences with you all.
